ABOUT Dr. Steve Young
Dr. Steve is a native Texan who graduated from the University of Houston
College of Optometry in 1993. He began his career in Houston with the
Houston Eye Associates ocular treatment and surgical center.
He moved to Bridgeport in 1995 and with his wife opened Bridgeport Eye
Center. He and his wife, Dr. Patricia Young, were awarded "Best
Optometrist" in Wise County by the readers of the Wise County Messenger.
He has served with the Lions Club, the Texas Optometric Association, and the
American Optometric Association. He participates in Vision USA and
PreventBlindness USA. He has specialized training in the diagnosis, treatment and management of glaucoma.
Outside of his practice he enjoys skeet shooting, bird hunting, hiking,
carpentry, and wood working.

ABOUT Dr. Patricia Young
Dr. Patricia grew up in Wiesbaden, Germany, where her parents worked
for the U.S. Government. She moved to Texas to attend her mother's alma
matter, Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She graduated from the University
of Houston College of Optometry in 1994. She began her career in Houston while searching for the ideal location for private practice.
She moved to Bridgeport in 1995 and with her husband founded Bridgeport Eye
Center. She and her husband, Dr. Steve Young, were awarded "Best
Optometrists" in Wise County by the readers of the Wise County Messenger.
She has served as president of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, with the
Bridgeport Civic Club, and with the Texas Optometric Association and the
American Optometric Association. She participates in Vision USA and PreventBlindness USA. She has specialized training in the diagnosis,
treatment and management of glaucoma and ocular disease. She is a recipient
of the Gold Key Optometric Award.
Outside of her practice she enjoys gardening, cross-stitch embroidery and
horseback riding.
